Blackthorne is an action platforming game for the Super Nintendo.

This patch translates Blackthorne for SNES(US version) from English to Spanish. It is the first Spanish translation of Blackthorne for any system to include accents and special symbols of Spanish and, at the same time, to solve the issue that made the dialog windows transparent, and the inventory text to be absent, as it was in previous accented translations (thus making them not fully playable, nor faithful to the original experience).

It needs to be applied to a headerless US ROM. The patch also removes the censorship that made the blood green colored instead of red, for both, Orcs and human characters (including the protagonist). The hack “Red Blood in Blackthorne”, made by SCD, has been included. An extra optional patch allows to revert this to green color, for those purists that want to play the SNES version of Blackthorne the way it was.

This translation has been made from scratch by Rod Mérida, from Crackowia group. Final corrections, made by Eric Zambrano, have been added. [J] / Slidelljohn has collaborated by decyphering the graphics compression algorythm used by the game, and thus making the font graphics recompression possible.
