A fun Color Gameboy title Snowboard Champions has a nice and simple gameplay scheme and the graphics don’t hurt either. Not as many options but there are a few options to keep it interesting for a bit. And yeah, it seems to be just straightforward snowboarding.

There are some font problems in the patch. Its entirely readable but some letters have a different color background than others. Some of the menu options (such as in the title screen menu) also show glaring graphical imperfections. And the name selection screen has all the letters jumbled together in a disorderly fashion. The title screen is also done but it could definitely use an artistic touch. All in all the game is more than playable but aesthetically this patch needs much more elbow grease. If a bit more time and professionalism are invested in the patch it ought to turn out great. Hoping for some artistry over functionality… Oh and I haven’t checked but I’m wondering how accurate the translation is. I’m sensing some liberties were taken.
