Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis is a tactics game much like Final Fatasy Tactics on the GameBoy Advance. It was developed by Quest, who later broke up and joined Square. The creators of Tactics Ogre were part in making Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, so you’ll find a lot of similarities between the two.
Enough backstory on the company, lets go straight into the game. The game itself has wonderfully composed music, and a great storyline. There’s several secrets the game has to offer, and four endings depending on your choices and gameplay hours and character deaths. This game is more unforgiving than Final Fantasy Tactics and has an isometric perspective if compared to Fire Emblem. The graphics are incredibly detailed on the GBA system.
This game is not underrated, and the series itself is pretty highly rated. The series didn’t receive commercial success and remains a cult classic. Some people may call it a poor mans FF Tactics but its fresh on its own.
