Game Description:
Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) is a Visual Novel-like game where you take the role of a lawyer named Phoenix Wright (Naruhodou Ryuuichi), whose job is to defent your clients in each case, and prove their innocence.
The game features unexpected turnabouts of events, exaggerated animations, an amazing writing style, the iconic “Objection!”, “Hold it!”, and “Take that!” bubbles, the humour, and the fact that basically everyone hates you.
The game got ported to the DS back in 2005, this version is the original release for the GBA that never came out of japan, so it’s all in japanese.
Translation Description:
This Gyakuten Saiban translation is unique in many ways. Not only it’s one of the first fan translations on its time, but it was the first one that became strong phenomenon which sweeped the entire internet. It made a lot of hackers get into ROM hacking, some of who are still active nowadays.
Whoever the translator was, he did well on delivering the Japanese text while adding original, localized humors. Those Daeteol references are also near legendary. It’s still good to start from here if you’re a newcomer to this series.
