Mother 3 is a role playing game for the Game Boy Advance.

This is an unofficial English translation of Mother 3, a Japanese RPG released for the Game Boy Advance in 2006. Mother 3 is the sequel to the 1995 Super NES RPG, EarthBound.

This patch is in UPS format and the archive comes with custom patching programs for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

UPDATE – April 20th, 2021

As a celebration of the game’s 15th anniversary, Lorenzoone, the Italian MOTHER 3 fan translator, spent approximately three years improving the English patch. This new version of the patch mostly fixes technical issues and bugs for a better gameplay experience. The game’s text is almost entirely the same as in previous releases. Some points worth noting from the changelog:

• A number of the translation’s bugs, issues and typos have been fixed
• More fixes of the Japanese version’s bugs/issues
• A lot of technical improvements to help with the overall performance and optimization of the game (no slowdowns, softlock fixes, etc.)
• The Translation Tools have been updated, as well as adding certain features to make future translations easier for the user
• Changed the “Ready-Set-Go” voice clip to the one featuring Lani Minella and Karmageddon
• And probably some lesser stuff that’s been forgotten over time

Save files from version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 will work with this latest patch. Check the ReadMe for the fully detailed changelog.
