A vast improvement over Capcom's localization

Reviewed By: capncrunch992 on 02 Feb 2023

Anyone who’s played the English version of Gargoyle’s Quest no doubt recalls its contradictions and overly abbreviated item text that lends itself to inscrutability. This patch addresses both issues, and generously expands inventory spacing for more descriptive item names.

While not a literal translation by any means, it does convey a lot more context than Capcom’s own translation, and adds a bit of welcome flavor while keeping names and terminology consistent enough with the overall series canon.

Here’s to hoping we’ll see a similar effort directed at the game’s prequel/sequel.
