Description:
A difficulty and re-balance hack of Ogre Battle that makes very extensive changes. The primary goals are to add difficulty to the game, resolve class balance, and encourage usage of multiple units, but many other alterations have been made, including: two new classes (Diana and Siren), massive buffs to large units, no more tribute gold (this limits access to healing), units are now free to deploy and upkeep, many changes to class stat growth, abilities, resistances, and more!

A mixed bag of changes
Reviewed By: Allen0800 on 27 Jan 2023I appreciate the changes to focus more on the strategy and less on the economy of the game by removing the tribute component. Within the first hour of the game, I got to see some of the adjustments made to the amazon’s advanced class (Diana) and the witch’s new versatile casting abilities. However, as I kept playing, I realized that the retreat feature has been disabled. Maybe it changes later on as you level up or out-level the enemy, but with the overall increase in difficulty of the enemy unit formations and attack numbers, sometimes you are outclassed before you realize it; necessitating a retreat and re-evaluation. I think this hack goes a bit too far for my taste in that respect, despite modest improvements elsewhere.
