Translation Description:
This is a complete translation patch for SD Gundam Gaiden - Knight Gundam Legend. The very first game in the long-running series finally complete for your pleasure.
This project was based off of work done by KingMike several years ago that was mostly completed by aishsha and polished etc by Pennywise into the translation you see now. It is the culmination of years of work coming to an end.
The ROM was expanded past its mapper limitation and will not work on hardware and most emulators. The latter issue is an easy fix that is encouraged to be reported to emulator devs to support the translation. The game like a lot of Bandai games, uses an EEPROM which is not supported by flashcarts and the only way of playing this on hardware would be to modify the original cart, but the ROM expansion kills that.

Reviewed By: Ness on 26 Jan 2023Solid translation for a DQ clone which, surprisingly, surpasses many other DQ clones on the system. Note that the translation even gives the proper hint to go to Carddass Island, something which the only English walkthrough available couldn’t figure out when playing the game in Japanese. I hope to one day see the two Famicom sequels translated as well. The end game and ending of this one is very disappointing and very obviously wants players to play the sequel.
