Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Re-Revenge: Gameplay Trailer
I. Overiew:
Welcome to the universe of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Re-revenge of the Shredder! The city was attacked by a foot ninja army led by Shredder and Krang. Our brave heroes have come together to challenge them and clear the city of evil mutants and foot ninja. But will it be that easy?
II. Features:
- Replaced all characters, all enemies and all bosses.
- Added shadow for all characters, all enemies and all bosses.
- Some enemies have new attacks, that will surprise experienced players.
- Characters replaced by Raph, Leo, Donnie, Mikey, April O’Neil, Splinter and Casey Jones.
- All seven playable characters can jump further while running
- All of the characters attacks are similar to those from TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge.
- The game has juggling for both players and enemies.
- Players can recover from a hit by pressing the jump button upon landing (as in SOR4)
- The command to run (f, f) becomes more sensitive.
- All playable characters can jump further while running.
- You can use the Offensive Special while running
- Added 6-Button gamepad Support. Uppercut now is Y-button.
- Friendly fire is disabled.
- Added new sounds for players and enemies.
- A new plot has been written for the game.
- Changed the title screen
- Changed all Story Screen in the game
- For the first time in sor2 hacking, switching between normal and turbo mode has been added to the option
- Added turbo mode

This option is responsible for the delay between strikes when attacking enemies.

IV.1.01
Fixed a bug causing a freeze when receiving an Electrolyte attack from the Whip Foot Ninja on some emulators and consoles on hardest and mania difficulties.

A beautiful hack with interesting game changes.
Reviewed By: peacefighter on 23 Dec 2022The sprites from Shredder’s revenge work very well in the SOR2 engine. I like that stages are basically the same, but they still made some creative changes. At the end of the first level in the original game a boss with a knife comes out of the shadows. Every hack has this boss at the end of the first level. In Re-Revenge there is a mouser that I think has a little more health than the other mousers, but not enough to feel like a boss. These kinds of little changes help to make this hack feel like something “new” rather than just a re-skin like most other SOR2 hacks. I also like that the mousers blow up after dying. The game punishes the player for not paying attention. These are great ideas!
My only real gripe is the characters air attack is a little bit wonky. You jump and want to do a jump kick and the attack movement is very awkward. I think it is either too short of an animation or the attack feels like it should cover more distance. Something is weird when attacking enemies from the air.
The only other thing I wish they could change is the music. SOR2 has amazing music, but I wish they would add some classic TMNT music. That would greatly improve this hack.
I have no reservations in recommending this to retrogaming fans. This is an amazing hack! This is one of the best TMNT hacks!
