So, I enjoyed the hack, probably more beginner friendly than most but still good. Like I said nothing too crazy in it to really differentiate it from the original, the new sprites and background changes were nice enough. the best thing is definitely the level layout changes. mixed it up enough to make it feel different, but not always for the better. I mean for the most part it just goes the same as castlevania 1, a few sections a bit tough to get through but the majority were a cake walk, much easier then C1, I mean theres one part where its just two little rooms and then youre on to the next part. The controls take a bit of getting used to, controlling your jump really helped with some of the crazier enemies, but you could argue thats why the original was so much tougher. still good though And the story, I like that its all written here to read, but maybe a cut sceneor to in game would be nice, I mean even between bosses its just dark screened, at least a map or something would be cool. also the end dialogue was a bit too white, kinda hard to read. Something probably happened between the original creator and this one for him to pass it on what was it, 15 years ago?, but I guess that doesnt matter, What I will say though is its cool you got it finished but for it to take that long, maybe just a bit more polish or pizzazz would have been deserving. But who am I to talk, I couldnt make anything half as good as this. all in all good work dude, hope the next one is even better
