The Minish Cap - Gender Neutral

Hack of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Description:

Released in North America in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was the twelfth entry in the Zelda series. Although the game allows the player to input their own name for Link and become the hero in an immersive experience, all of the characters in the game still refer to the player as male. This patch replaces the male pronouns referring to Link (the player) with gender-neutral pronouns (for example: “kid”” instead of “boy”).

INSTRUCTIONS: Use xdelta3 to apply vcdiff to (U) GBA file.

Link is male, he’s always been male. Really, all this political correctness doesn’t change the gaming experience one bit. The Zelda series is far from the only one to allow you to name a character despite having canon names. What’s wrong about the protagonist having a set canon gender?
