NBA Jam Rewind

Hack of NBA Jam T.E.

NBA Jam Rewind is a ROM hack of NBA Jam TE (rev 2.1 2/06/94) that adds Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal into the lineup. Along with this, the secret Midway team is unlocked by default.

Revision 2.1 was chosen for this project as it contains the Backboard shattering effect, Fatalities, Mortal Kombat characters, playable cheerleaders and several more hidden players that were removed in later revisions.

Awesome!! Very grateful

No probs installing on a real board, no glitches or anything.

The voice of NBA Jam even endorses it! I brought this on my cab to the Cleveland Gaming Classic, where Tim Kitzrow, the original announcer, thought this was awesome. In fact, he wondered how the “Jordan!” sample got on here!

He said they did a custom Jam machine for Jordan, Gary Payton, and Ken Griffey. The “Jordan!” voice and likeness must have been in the TE code leftover, I wonder??

Anyway, it’s awesome to have Barkley and Shaq in TE, as well as the restored secrets from 2.1! No reason to play regular Jam ever again. Just rack your brain archives if you’re having trouble installing 2.1 and you’ll figure it out.
