Patch with IPS
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow Magician Mode
This is a very simple patch for the game, the idea is to fully rely on souls like the magician mode in curse of the moon. Enjoying a different experience than the original while using your favorite souls without any limit.
Changes:
1. Obtain the chaos ring at the start of the game. Unlimited souls uses.
2. All weapons increase INT instead of STR/ATK. Making Soma’s normal attack very weak and is mainly used to destroy candles or to destroy enemy bullets.
3. All Armor increase LCK instead of DEF/CON. Soma’s defense depends entirely on his CON, making him more squishy and the extra luck helps with getting more drops/souls.
4. You get a gun at the start.
5. Some small changes.

A really fun mode.
Reviewed By: hugojmaia on 22 May 2022Chaos ring is the very first item you find. Makes for a very interesting playthrough, Soma is turned into a glass cannon, luck and int are stupidly high, drops are very frequent and soul damage is awesome.
I abused the hell out of rush souls. The game is really easy with them.
The pocket knife becoming a gun didn’t matter at all, it got replaced by the very next weapon drop.
I also like that Kicker Skeleton’s soul was available along with Malphas for the double jump. Along with a few convenient placements of bats and candles that means Undine is something you have to put on only to get into the bottom right corner of the map.
Hipogriff was given shortly after bat in the area above the save room.
And Black Panther was also given early.
