Game Description:
The Devil Children series was Atlus’ answer to Pokemon. There are three Gameboy Color versions: Black, Red, and White. In each of these games, you play as a different Devil Child (half human, half demon).
It’s not quite like Pokemon as it has a somewhat stronger storyline (though that’s not saying much). Much like some other Shin Megami Tensei games, you recruit demons by talking to them in battle.
Translation Description:
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children: Black Book was the first in the Devil Children series. The first three entries were never released outside of Japan, but the GBA games were released as DemiKids; overall, translation choices from DemiKids were not used in this translation, instead opting to stick with most of the names used by the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games.
Title screen and battle icons are untranslated.
The readme includes a list of passwords that can be used to unlock event-only demons after the game has been completed.

At long last!
Reviewed By: Adventdemon on 21 Jul 2021Man, god bless the community members who put in the time & work to translate the titles that never made it overseas.
I can surely say that I wouldn’t have been able to really enjoy & experience this game if the team hadn’t taken the time to make this patch. I whole-heartedly Thank you for bringing this experience to the table for so many others to enjoy!
& a BIG shoutout to all the dinosaurs of the scene for translating the majority of Megaten. W/o people like you out there most of these games would be left in obscurity to the western audience.
