Description:
This hack is the combination of three individual hacks. It was created to be the ultimate NES remake of a classic game.
The original palette has been utilized and the layout of the map is exactly as the original. The only exception is the room where you fight Ridley. To reduce flicker (as much as possible) I had to place Ridley above the doors.
I do not claim any credit for the actual content - only for the hard work of making it all work together.
All credits go to the below listed hacks and their individual authors:

Makes Metroid 1 finally worth playing
Reviewed By: Supergamerguy on 02 Jul 2021This hack introduced me to the wonderful franchise that is Metroid. I’d always been mildly curious to give the series a shot, and wanted to play all of the 2D games in release order, but never committed to doing so because of all the problems the original NES game had. But this hack fixes so much of that! The biggest additions were the ability to beam stack and an in-game map. The in-game map helped me so, so much when trying to figure out where I should go next, and the beam stacking really helped out in the latter half of the game against the stronger enemies and some of Mother Brain’s attack. And the new graphics made the already vastly improved experience even better! Now that the game looks and plays great, I can finally recommend it to anybody who hasn’t yet given NEStroid a try.
