I want to preface this by saying I didn’t play very far. But the first thing that you have to do in the first level is ponytail glide around three barrels and a rotating zinger (over a bottomless pit) to land on a platform, then immediate dodge a charging barrel enemy (and a kutlass.

Next you have to jump on one of those ghost ropes (also over a bottomless pit) to do a perfect ponytail glide around more zingers in order to get hit by a cannonball, so that Diddy can bounce off the enemy firing cannonballs (who’s standing on nothing, because this is all still over the same bottomless pit) to land in a barrel, hold right and then make a blind landing around more zingers and another kutlass…. this is all in the first part of the first level, so I hope you can understand why I quit.

If you do enjoy kaizo games, you might like this, and it’s worth checking out in that case. But it wasn’t really labelled as a super hard hack, just a generic “remodeled” title, so the expectation wasn’t very clear. If you’re into kaizo, maybe check it out.

However, I really hope somebody makes a normal / average difficulty DKC2 level romhack, because as far as I know none exist. If that’s what you’re looking for, this ain’t it.

Note: If you do want to try it, you have to use the Super Donkey Kong 2 Japanese SFC format (not Fig) rom, that’s the only version that works.
