I can understand some free adaptation when in the original there is a joke that a western player would not understand if it is not adapted to his own culture, but always according to the personality of the NPC who speaks or the context of the work.

This translation goes beyond an adaptation of jokes to Western culture, it directly introduces political proclamations totally absent in the original and without any relation to the personality of the characters.

The game is fine, it’s fine, it doesn’t excel in any technical aspect, but it doesn’t have major flaws either, but the music is forgettable. The development of the story and characters and the combat is that of a classic RPG of this time following the style of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. The rate of encounters is high even for its time and it differs in its continuous cheerful tone despite bad things happening in the main plot, it would be a highly recommended RPG to start an 8-14 year old boy in the genre if someone took a more politically neutral translation and not as if the translator were Richard Nixon or Margaret Thatcher.
