Super Mario Land X

Hack of Super Mario Land

Description:

Super Mario Land X is a full level hack of Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. It replaces all 12 levels with new layouts, bonus rooms, power-up locations and enemy locations.

The aim was to create a version of SML which still feels new and interesting to those who are very familiar with the original game.

The hack contains a ‘normal’ mode and a ‘hard’ mode. The ‘normal’ mode is kept to a difficulty level which is reasonably similar to the original. The ‘hard’ mode is much more difficult than the original.

The hard mode made the original game obsolete to me!

Wow man, this hack is WAY PAST DAEMONIC! Succulent job! Truth be told, I’ve never even bothered with the normal mode, only the hard mode, because I tried it first and it wasn’t even that hard, so I don’t feel like disappointing myself with the normal mode. 11/10! (also the dude down in the reviews who said the hard mode is too hard is just not used to harder Mario games, like the real SMB2)
