This is an amazing hack!

Reviewed By: gravitygoesup1 on 20 Jul 2020

Graphics: It has a Lost Levels look and has some enemies from SMB3, but the star background makes the game much more moody.

Gameplay: The platforming is fun and intuitive. I especially like the devious cannon placements in 2-4. Enemies and platforms are placed in ways that make you slow down and survey the situation.

I have not yet beaten this hack, I died at the end of 2-4 because a bullet backstabbed me, but I cannot wait to see what is in World 3. This hack is a good start for people who want to get into SMB1 hacks because there are some hard ones out there. Starlight Mario is harder than the original, but it’s fair. Definitely recommend for your ROM hack library!
