When the Hackers Paint the Town

(Yes, that review title is a reference to The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.)

How funny!  I remember doing this exact thing when I was working on a ROM hack, a while ago.  I’m glad to see that someone else had the same idea!

In any case, it’s just a tiny, cosmetic change, but it makes quite a difference to how Toad looks.  While it’s impossible to give him his blue vest and red spots, due to palette limitations, I think the red spots definitely take precedence, so it’s nice to see our favorite Mushroom Retainer wearing his trademark color! The red dots on his… headHat…?  Uh, the red dots, up top, look very good in that shade.  Well done!

As the author said, it’s a simple hack, but I definitely recommend this for people looking for this exact sort of thing!
