What a Swan Song!

Reviewed By: Mother Kojiro on 16 May 2019

As are all the others, this is a great, detailed hack that puts Roll in Mega Man’s place. The artwork is spectacular, as usual; Roll has such an exuberant look to her on the Weapon Get screen. Kalinka in the intro was a nice touch, as well. Unlike the other Game Boy Roll-Chan hacks, this was originally a game made for the Super Game Boy, which means custom palettes. These were also changed, most notably the aforementioned Weapon Get screen which has such a lovely and uncommon shade of pink. The Mars stage has a warm, cozy feeling, like early December in front of a fireplace. What’s neatest about the palettes is that unlike the original game, they match the actual color that the Stardroids are supposed to be! Great attention to detail, as always!
