Impressive, but still needs work

This is by far the most impressive homebrew I’ve ever seen. It is a dungeon crawler in the style of the first Legend of Zelda, complete with the button mapping (A = sword, B = item). To get all of this into a homebrew shows that there was really a passion for this project.

However… it is like Legend of Zelda, warts and all. Tiny rooms with agonizingly slow movement speed, and enemies that can run circles around you with no way to block. Also like the first Zelda, you won’t really get far without a guide. I died to the first boss 10 times before finally checking the website and finding that there were secrets that I had missed. Turns out, you’re supposed to get a life powerup and an attack powerup, or else he’s pretty much impossible.

I’m going to keep playing, but I think this could stand to have a little tweaking.
