Mega Man: No Skid

Hack of Mega Man

Description:

This hack simply disables Mega Man’s deceleration animation, making him instantly stop in place similarly to Mega Man 3 and onward. His acceleration is unchanged.

This patch can also be used with most other hacks, though this patch should be applied first.

A surprisingly welcome addition

Reviewed By: TheGershon on 09 Jan 2019

I hadn’t even realized the original behavior until I saw this hack, but after applying and trying it out, it makes a big difference in the feel of the controls. Mega Man games are supposed to feel “tight” to play, and this does nothing but improve that feeling. A+.

Also works fine when combined with the Upgraded hack.
