Every NES platformer should be like this
Reviewed By: Notthisguy on 15 Oct 2018One of the biggest flaws with the original Super Mario Bros is that the multiplayer mode only let 1 player play at a time. Like the description says, it lets two player play simultaneously.
Multiplayer mode is incredibly well executed compared to the NEW Super Mario Bros platformers. It does a lot of things better than NSMB.
- The screen doesn’t zoom out when you get too far away from each other.
- The action is constant unlike NSMB.
- There is no input lag or cpu hiccups whatsoever.
- Mario and Luigi don’t collide like how they do in NSMB, which makes these zones a lot easier to clear.
- Lives are not shared between Mario and Luigi. Veteran players should probably let newer players take the first power ups you see.
The simultaneous multiplayer in this hack is implemented so well, it transforms Super Mario Bros into one of the best multiplayer games for the console.
It would be amazing to see Kirby’s Dream Land, Mega Man and SMB3 two player hacks.
