Rockman/Mega Man 2 - Slide and Charge Shot

Hack of Mega Man 2

Description:

This is a patch intended for Rockman 2 or Megaman 2, which adds sliding, and charge shots to the game. Sliding is based on Megaman 3 physics, and charge shot is the large version from Megaman 5.

Also included is Weapon Swapping via Select Button.

Well-made, minor complaint

Reviewed By: KevvyLava on 14 Aug 2018

The charge is great and I like the way the volume of charging dissipates so it doesn’t interfere with the music like in MM4-6. My only comment is that it feels like the charged buster shot should do more damage than it does. I feel like it only does 2 shots worth of damage and for many folks who are accustomed to playing Mega Man, it is almost easier to just use regular rapid fire.

Had fun playing it, though. This is a great idea and the slide really is refreshing to be able to use.
