Don't be fooled by the screenshot. This is actually FUN.

When I came upon this patch, I almost pass on it as an afterthought but it intrigued me just enough to try it out with a tongue in cheek approach. But then . . .

I started the game and true enough it reminds you of the early gaming days of Atari. First level done, and I’m mindblown as how good this patch is. It doesn’t take the fun from the mario game, if any, it adds spice to it! This brought my thirst for playing thru smb1 again and again.

The color scheme used are a great mix. Bright but easy on the eyes, dark shades give the feeling of suspense and excitement. The design somewhat gave the game experience a “kick” to it. This patch is a fusion of nostalgia and a breath of fresh air!

SUMMARY: Minimalism meets Fun! Definitely recommended!
