Hack of Final Fantasy III

This patch is a re-balance of the original Final Fantasy III for the Famicom. It is compatible with the original JAP version as well as the English translations. The purpose of this patch is to revamp the game in a way that makes the majority of more more equally viable. Ninjas and Sages are no longer the only two viable end game Jobs now that other Jobs provide their own advantages. Each Job now reflects its respective DS counterpart in regards to abilities, stats, and equipment.

A list of all changes made can be found in the Readme file. Please let me know if you find any issues with the patch!

This hack gives you the (in my opinion) superior version of FF3 that came with the Nintendo DS. Jobs are much more evenly balanced (no longer are Scholars useless, or Dark Knights basically Paladins with impossibly hard-to-find equipment), with abilities modern players have come to associate with the classes, creating a more cohesive experience that allows for fewer party constrictions. Original hardware with updated jobs- its really the best of both worlds for this, the most criminally-overlooked entry in the FF series. Great hack, cant recommend it enough. Thanks so much!

Note: The game isn’t without a few text glitches. The three I have noticed off the bat are (1) a jumble of gear-sprites obscuring the title of the Status tab in the party menu, (2) a discolored rod-sprite covering the Exit option in town shops, and (3) a pretty noticeable typo in the script with the first town woman you encounter in Ur. Obviously none of these glitches spoil the fun of playing, but they exist.
