My use of this tool when doing full text decap.
Reviewed By: Chronosplit on 14 May 2016This actually didn’t get much from me. A-T is functionally useless when it comes to actually editing the text. Your main “text editor” is actually either a hex editor or an XSE/Advance Map combo. For the most part this is fine for dialog, as for an RPG Pokemon isn’t hugely text filled and XSE is great at repointing text anyway. Everything but dialog requires a hex editor for the most part however (or opening the ROM and going to a known offset with XSE, but I found it quicker to just search for the capitalized word in hex and fix it the hard way). Tools like Anti-Exploud are around these days for some terms, but they can’t do everything as the auto-search function has no discrimination and can mess up data with things like YES/NO choices.
However, A-T is useful to find where text is when you just can’t find the place to edit it at least. The conversation with Bill before scooting off to One Island in particular. I can recommend it for that at least.
