For those of us who have played, and even loved Fester’s Quest, we know full well how frustrating the game play is. Granted, such game play made a player strive to be better and improve one’s playing skills, like many other games of the time. But this game was a bit too much on the difficult side[like Battletoads], enough that it induced controller throwing fits, one of the few games that could do that to me.

Enter the Game Genie… Ahhh, much better,… sort of. Cheating was fun and interesting, but left you with a kind of empty feeling. Still fun though.

Now, decades later, we have this mod. OHHH the bliss! This is exactly how the game needed to be originally! Just the right balance of challenge and fun. And none of the red blocks[they always looked pink to me] to down-grade your powers. This hack applied can easily be considered the definitive version of the game!
