Hack of The Legend of Zelda

In the land of Hyrule, a hero was born. His task; to save the princess of Hyrule, Princess Zelda.

His name was Link, and he was proclaimed the Hero of Time.

2 years after saving Hyrule and Princess Zelda from the dark lord Gannon, A massive earthquake woke our hero Link.

It seemed that Gannon had risen from his grave to destroy Hyrule. Again, he had stolen Princess Zelda, and had filled Hyrule with beasts.

Link, having figured he had rested Ganon safely in hell, had been slacking off in his bed in the palace, as king of Hyrule.

After the earthquake, he had to once again equip himself and navigate the new landscapes of Hyrule.

Was ok, but left it after playing a few dungeons

So the game started off great. The Overworld has been changed around a bit, though seemly a bit lazily. I mean that by just filling in one exit with blocks, and blowing out a wall of another to create a new path. But it did make things interesting trying to find my way to the dungeons.

That’s what really falls short in my opinion. The dungeons are EXACTLY the same as the original. Even their locations are the same. But it was harder to get to them, and I did find a few (seemingly) new caves. So i decided to keep going.

I beat lvl 1 no issues. Couldn’t find my way to level 2, so I beat 3. I found the 3 “heart containers” and the bought the blue ring. So I was feeling good. No candles in shops and I think the idea is to have to wait until level 7 for the red one.

My thought for level 2 was that you’d find the power bracelet and warp over to lvl 2 area. I looked briefly, gave up, then continued on.

I beat level 4, and decided to use my ladder to access an early seen “heart container”. And fail again. The “bridge” to level 1, that was split for you to use the ladder, didn’t start with a ‘ladder dock’ so the game wouldn’t let you cross the river.

Knowing that other things like this could be around, and that the levels are exactly the same, I put this down.

Was interesting while it lasted. But not sure I’ll come back.
