Description:
The purpose of this hack was to take the same approach Nintendo took with Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. Numerous Zelda games have a second quest in one form or another, and the author felt that A Link to the Past deserved a similar treatment. The dungeons have detours, rearranged items, tougher enemies, and an intermediate difficulty level. However, an optional “Double Heart Damage” patch is included for those looking for a greater challenge.

A five minute sprite hack
Reviewed By: puzzledude on 24 Feb 2014Another of the master quests not worthy of its name. This game is even more hollow than the other master quest. The overworlds are a 100 percent and the dungeons a 99 percent copy of A link to the past. The layout of the dungeons, which any master quest should change, is not different at all!
The dungeons are identical to Alttp. The only changed thing are sprites (which are now more powerful) and the big-chest locations. The sprite changes are made in such a way, so that the game is only slightly more difficult and would not qualify as a game for masters at all.
The game also has the glitched naming screen (this is common, since the extended hex-study and the exact size of the rom are necessary to fix this).
The only good thing about the game is, that there are no in-game bugs, but other than that playing it is not much different from playing Alttp.
