This mod removes the background music in Super Mario RPG Legend of the 7 Stars. There is just one song that remains in the game, and that is the music that plays during the Yoshi race. Removing this song would cause the game to softlock before the Yoshi race begins. This mod was made using Lazy Shell software. It works on emulators and original hardware.

This is the kind of hack that would be nice for every game. It makes it much easier to record sound effects from the game so rips can be much higher quality. I get that this game has legendary music but there’s merit in a hack like this.
