Description:
The purpose of this hack is to mitigate many of the flaws of Dragon Warrior II in order to create an overall play experience more similar to that of its NES sequels.
Major changes include: gold and experience point winnings in battle are increased, mini-bosses are now more challenging, shops and treasure chests are adjusted, late-game equipment is buffed, new names are used for the Prince of Cannock and Princess of Moonbrooke, and more. However, the script and events are unchanged.

Great way to play a classic in modern times
Reviewed By: retrohacknerd on 25 Mar 2023Great hack all around. The biggest problem with vanilla DW2 was always the ridiculous amount of grinding.
This hack really cuts down on the XP and gold grind, and makes the game more interesting with better gear options for the Prince of Cannock and Princess of Moonbrook. No more garbage chests either. I really appreciated finding useful things in chests and no traps.
Although the grind is reduced, the combat remains unforgiving and the enemies that used to wipe your party are still capable of wrecking you and costing you half your gold.
If you haven’t played DW2 in a while I definitely recommend this hack.
