Description:
“Tetris - Rosy Retrospection” aims to combine the joyful nostalgia of playing classic GameBoy Tetris with the established comfort of modern gameplay mechanics.
This hack is published as patches in BDF and UPS format for the original game. You don’t need to apply both, just choose the format that’s more convenient for you to use.

Rosy Retrospection includes a lot of additions and improvements. See the readme file for more detailed descriptions.

- Pressing B at name input deletes the current character

Reviewed By: aphexacid on 21 Feb 2023I have very fond memories of the original GB Tetris and as much is I loved Tetris DX’s gameplay improvements, Rosy Retrospection is now THE version to play for me. Combining the classic visuals and music with every gameplay improvement we have come to expect in modern Tetris, Rosy Retrospection is a dream to play. With hard drop, great DAS and faster line clears, the game flows perfectly. With other tweaks such as hold, 7-bag grouping and 3-piece previews, you’ll find yourself bagging bigger scores, faster, and unlike original GB Tetris, your high scores are saved.
The game works brilliantly on an Everdrive with my Analogue Pocket and I just wish I’d heard of this hack sooner! Ospin deserves all praises as in my opinion he has created the definitive Game Boy Tetris. It’s just a shame Nintendo has such an aversion to the romhacking scene as they should stick this on the new GB Switch Online service for more people to enjoy.
