Similar to the NTSC-U version of the patch, It came in two flavors, regular and “Shenlong” variant. Choosing the “Shenlong” variant enables the unused Shenlong Japanese voices.

Japanese lip synching are also restored. Though, due to the frame rate differences between PAL and NTSC systems (50 fps vs 59.94 fps) and since the Japanese lip synching was made with NTSC frame rates in mind it seems, sometimes the lip movement appears to be out of sync with the characters voices.

Either use a PAL-2-NTSC patch (You can use the one included with optional cheat codes) at the expense of losing the screen estates at the top and bottom since the PAL version is using a bit higher vertical resolution than the US version (Emulator users are unaffected by this) or live with it.

But the brighter side is, at least PAL version retains the blood particle effects intensity from the Japanese version.

Patch Requirements:

This patch requires the Redump verified dump of the PAL version of BR3.

How to patch:

Use the included DeltaPatcherLite.exe to patch your dump. The resulting md5 hash of the patched bin should be equal to:

• 1d632525c0f81bd2b68e27206f3a9acf for the regular undub
• 58f1f27a37791db7c2af47e49cf3e5f3 for the Shenlong variant

Note for PCSX2 users:

If you want to use Widescreen hack with the patched game, don’t forget to rename the PNACH (880AA922.pnach) inside cheats_ws.zip too (Or extract it to the cheats_ws directory) with one of these:

• 880AA682.pnach for the regular undub
• 890AA682.pnach for the Shenlong variant

Additional info:

An optional cheat codes was also provided inside the “Misc (Optional)” directory to enable them, both in PCSX2’s PNACH and OPL w/ ps2rd’s CHT format. These include codes to enabling the English voices of Kohryu and Uranus, an alternate English voices for Jenny and Shina and PAL-2-NTSC codes to make the game ran in NTSC video mode.
