There’s an annoying bug in Final Fantasy 1 on GBA where one of the better pieces of equipment will never be possible to get legit. The Angel Ring can only be found on one floor in the 10th treasure chest. Unfortunately that floor cannot have a layout that supports 10 chests. So in vanilla FF1 this item is impossible to get without Game Genie.

The Angel Ring is not just any piece of equipment either. It can be equipped by any mage or wizard and will restore 10% of their max HP at the end of a turn. It’s stats are nothing to sneeze at either with some of the best absorb or evade possible on that armor slot.

So this patch enables you to get the Angel Ring as a 10% chance drop from Holy Dragons. No easy task, but at least it’s possible and you can get more than one if you want to. Good for completionists.

This patch changes nothing else, so it will work with other patches.
