Description:
This hack adjusts the energy consumption and damage of almost every weapon in the game—save for Time Stopper—with the aim of making them more widely useful in levels and against bosses alike without changing their vanilla behavior. Experience fighting bosses in new ways with weapons that previously didn’t work against them, and stare in awe as Bubble Lead carves a path of destruction through the game instead of bouncing off everything in sight.
Key features:
- Altered weapon and item energy consumption. Metal Blade and Quick Boomerang are more expensive, while most others are cheaper to some degree, especially Atomic Fire.
- Weapon damage retuned on a case by case basis across the board. With very few exceptions, every enemy can be reasonably defeated with any weapon and every boss takes at least one damage from every projectile weapon now. No more random tinks from a weapon bouncing off harmlessly for no apparent reason!
Quality of life polish:
- Boss checkpoints added to Wily Stages 1-4.
- Health and weapon energy bars fill a bit faster.
- Atomic Fire charges up twice as fast.
- Two of Air Man’s patterns were adjusted to be more reasonably dodged.
