FF Restored by astralesper was a revelation. It took a very flawed but deeply loved game and almost totally fixed it without fundamentally changing the look and feel of Final Fantasy like the later remakes generally did. This addendum patch sets out to address two sets of design issues that Restored left outstanding: flawed sprite art particularly with animations, and major balance issues involving two of the six character options. See readme for extensive details.

Three separate patches are included. Choose only 1 of the 2 graphics patches. The author’s recommendation for the most refined overall presentation is the US Style graphics patch.

US Style Graphics Only reverts primarily the battle graphics in Restored to the US versions. Most extensive changes are with Master and White Wizard. Also, four sword sprites are reverted to US versions. Most other graphics that were altered due to censorship were not reverted to US style, with the exception of swapping the crosses for candles based on them look more pleasing and appropriate in the locations they appear. Numerous issues with the US graphics have been corrected.

Japanese Style Graphics Only maintains the style of the original Japanese battle sprites and weapons that are used by default in FF Restored while correcting correcting various graphical issues.

Balance Only makes adjustments to the balance of the thief/ninja and the monk/master to make them better balanced against the other character options.

Restored. If using the excellent and highly recommended Dynamic Action Patch Re-Jiggered (Restored version) by Jiggers, apply this patch last.
