This hack was a labor of love by its author, who for many years dreamed of being able to play the original Dragon Warrior NES games in a manner that was uncensored, used contemporary English, and more accurately represented the games that were released in Japan by series creator Yuji Horii. While the US releases altered numerous elements such as religious content, adult humor, and things like demons, devils and death, the contemporary English releases, while undoing many of those past wrongs, have added heavy accents and lots of additional dialogue that takes the scripts even further away from the original Japanese releases. While both of those releases have earned a significant amount of popular support, this Delocalized Edition should satisfy those who have crave a more Japanese style experience and will hopefully impress the player who simply wants to try something new.
