1. Introduction

This hack features the iconic martial arts superstar Bruce Lee in the classic beat’em up game “Streets of Rage 3″. He replaces Skate the kid in the original game.

Bruce appears in the game in his yellow jumpsuit as in the movie “Game of Death”. His moves are inspired by the movies “Enter the Dragon” and “Game of Death”.

Two patches are provided in the packet:

• SOR3_Bruce.ips is for the US version, known as “Streets of Rage 3″.
• BK3_Bruce.ips is for the Japanese version, known as “Bare Knuckles III”.

You must apply the patches to the correct ROM. It is recommended that you use Lunar IPS.

In this game, Bruce is obviously more powerful than the other playable characters. The hack was originally designed to bring the difficulty of the US version down to the level of the Japanese version. Therefore, if you apply this hack to BK3, the game will become very easy.

In the US version, the dialogs of the characters are changed to fit Bruce in the story. While no dialog is changed in the Japanese version.

An additional bonus is that the outfit of Blaze is changed.

2. Known Glitches:

In the two-player mode, if one player chooses Bruce and performs a Lightning Dragon Kick or Backflip Kick, the graphic tiles may be messed up for a couple of frames, and then return normal.

Again in the two-player mode, if one player chooses Bruce and performs a Lightning Dragon Kick or Backflip Kick, the pictures of all the knives and darts in the scene may be messed up, and will not return normal.

The hacked rom is tested under Gens and Kega Fusion. No other glitch is found.
