Description:
This is a hack which adds the Strike Dash in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Master System. The Strike Dash is a move in some 8-bit Sonic games in which Sonic revs up while standing in place and takes off with a burst of speed with a short invincibility window at first. The move is performed in this hack by holding up and pressing button 2. The move appeared in other Sonic games under the name Super-Peel Out but did not have a invincibility window at the start of the move.
Unlike in the other games there is no sound played when revving up.
Tested on the 1.0 SMS ROM.
