Mighty the Armadillo in Sonic the Hedgehog

Hack of Sonic the Hedgehog

Description:

This is a hack which replaces Sonic the Hedgehog with Mighty the Armadillo. His gameplay is styled after his appearance in Knuckles Chaotix. This includes a wall jump ability which can be performed by pressing the jump button while against a wall. From then on press jump again to jump of the wall in the chosen direction. Mighty also has the ability to break through breakable walls by walking into them.

Included are two patches, one which uses the sprite work found in Chaotix and another patch which features improved sprites by Aquaslash and Cinossu that improve Mighty’s wall grip sprite among other things.

The hack is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog ROM in BIN ROM format. It has not been tested on other ROM formats. The patch is in xdelta format due to shifting data resulting in IPS patches containing original code.
