This is probably the best of the 3 Sonic games on the Genesis, and maybe the best on any platform! No annoying friends, no bad gimmicks, no sloppy controls, just pure Sonic. Controls are very smooth, with great level design, 3 playable characters with different abilities, (Sonic is well balanced and is the fastest, Tails can fly for a limited amount of time and swim and Knuckles can glide, break through rocks and climb walls), and there’s tons of secrets! Heck, Knuckles gets alternate routes for every stage! This version combines the vanilla Sonic 3 with Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic 3 has the first half up till Launch Base Zone and no playing as Knuckles, while Sonic and Knuckles has the rest of the game, but no Tails. Get this one instead.
