Game Description:
Startropics is a game for the NES made by Nintendo themselves, and takes a lot of influence from their Legend of Zelda, and at times, I feel like they’re just downright REFERENCING LoZ!
Your hearts… they’re identical to LoZ, and the containers too! Those snakes… how can you see them and not think “rope”? They even act like them! In the second dungeon, you fight some octorocks… I’m serious, what else could they possibly be? The overworld… very Zelda’ish.
But the big question is, does it hold up to Zelda’s standards?
YES!!
The gameplay is fantastic, and so much fun! Your yo-yo just kicks everything’s ass, and the puzzle platforming is the other part that makes this game so much fun and what it is.
The game is quite challenging, and you constantly feel quite tense when taking on each dungeon, because they get harder every time! The soundtrack is also great. It gives a very happy and upbeat atmosphere for the game, and it’s hard to get enough of it!
This game is just fantastic, and you need to give it a try!
