Translations: Puyo Puyo Sun English Translation released

Update By: Hernan

Puyo Puyo Sun is the third Puyo Puyo game in the series. The game was released in 1996 by Compile on the arcade and was later ported to several consoles and the PC. This is the English translation of the PC version. The translation is complete, however it has some minor elements untranslated (title screen appearance and several backgrounds).

Woo! This series is greatly under-appreciated by publishers and fan translators alike.

Third game?
Now the name makes sense. I feel stupid.
"Sun" is "San" in katakana, which is Japanese for "3".
I got Puyo Puyon though. (yon is "4")

So, what's 通 mean?

It means a lot of things. The words that contain 通 often carry the connotation of something passing through. For example, 通 on its own can refer to an expert (who has transcended the basics of the field), the verb 通う (kayou) means “to commute” among other things, 通り (-doori) means “... Street” or “just as ...” (as many Death Note fans now know... but I won’t spoil that), and 通訳 (tsūyaku) refers to an interpreter (i.e., a linguistic interpreter).

So basically, a very fitting pun for a sequel....
we are in a horrible and deadly danger

Also, "Puyo Puyo Tsuu." Tsuu, as in, two.

I thought it meant "continuation" but sounding like the English word "two".

Now where did I put my Puyo Puyo SUN ISO copy file? >_<

Err... I fucked up >_<
Patch won't work, so I'm reuploading the patch and calling it v1.02. If you downloaded before, you'll have to redownload it. Sorry for that.

I'd try it. But needless to say, finding the game is another story... :(

I downloaded once and play it, but I didn't like the audio quality at all so I deleted.
LOL, guess I've to stick with my Saturn version.

Please do not post about downloading stuff illegally, it is against the rules, and we really do not want to hear it.

I didn't say anything about downloading. ;)

Even legal, a game like this might be nigh-impossible to obtain. I don't know any Japanese. So scouring Google for a place selling the PC version would be futile for me.

I wasn't talking to you, but if you wanted it bad enough I am sure you could find used copy.

There is a copy of the ISO around.  Just it is one of the difficult files to find.

Ok guys, this has been going into the wrong direction with the last few posts.
We all acknowledge that it may be hard to find an original copy of the game. After that, each to his own means.

Are you talking about me? Because I have no intention on downloading the game whatsoever. I just
mention my experineces with it before. Besides i am good with my Saturn copy (Which is real and probably
the best version out there)

I suppose there's a slim chance the game could pop up on ebay or whatever.
