It's been a very long time since I've logged in here. Well the source of my old Sonic 2 SMS hack is long gone, so I've had to start from scratch again. I've implemented a few things that are different, I haven't made too many art edits since again my art skills suck. But what I have done is documented how to edit the title cards, so the level names are all changed, I've also switched the level order back to the original order. (Green Hills Zone is first, Underground is after Aqua Lake Zone.) The HUD has been changed to Sonic Chaos' HUD, palettes have also been changed. I've also added a few level layout edits only to the first level though. This video here is months old, but I haven't recently worked on this project. (But since coming back here, I want to work on the hack again. :V) Also disregard the glitched title screen, I used level select codes and when you input those cheats, the game attempts to load the title screen but since the palette and level gets loaded before the title screen and during the intro, it's using aspects from whatever level you have loaded. The title screen itself is treated as a level, just like the intro and credits sequence is. (I probably should have just used the level select inside the game to showcase the levels but meh...)

I made special FF6LE builds for RotDS and Children of Vector hacks. It allows 96 new tilemaps (from 350 to 446) and push maps (locations) numbers to 512. It also expand and relocate NPC, event triggers, exits. Treasures can be on the 511 maps but because of SRAM limitations I decided to not expand their number. This may change. You can now also rename new and old maps in the editor. I'm working on a Zone Doctor build that will allow all this from the setting menu: http://imgur.com/a/FxBMH

Was just talking about a FF6 idea in the ideas thread, it would be cool to see a actual expansion story for FF6 one day.

This is exactly what this upgrade will allow. While FF6LE / Zone Doctor being great, with all tilemaps being used, no extra space for tilemap data and NPCs, event triggers near capped, it was hard to make new content without removing any.

A short demo from a early build of Ninja Gaiden EX Hack with Level Progression and Abilities, it currently only contains the basics but i will expand it with more features. My goal is to make it speedrun friendly without taking the fun out of the game. The Level design will be based on the Abilities with many hidden Shortcuts, a lot of skillful jumping sort of Mirrors Edge.

Any feedback or suggestions is welcome.

A demo that I'm working on:

The Guardian Legend UNROM to MMC5 Test

This is a gameplay test of using mapper 5 for this game. The only thing I need to fix is "Name Table Viewer Custom Mirroring" to Vertical and "Power Up" part to start the game. That's all I need to do. Rest the game will work.

Update 9:40pm:
Everything is complete. Now testing gameplay.

Cool.  Is this your first mapper hack?  I converted this game to MMC3 a couple of years ago.  I'm glad to see someone trying to convert it to a different mapper. :)

No problem man.  Glad I could help. :)

When you are done with the mapper hack, it will raise your confidence, and you'll want to try other things as well! :)

This is a CV1 hack that Dragonsbrethren gave me years ago to finish. Seeing all these CV hacks gave me the motivation to finish this project. Pacnsacdave helped me ported the last few level graphics from Castlevania: Fan Edition. When I get settled back in New York, I'll finish it. I just gotta figure out how to add them enemies and candles and such, four levels are already done by Dragonsbrethren.

Here's the video

...alongside a massive hack (one for the history books) that for the time being shall remain nameless because I think there was supposed to be a bit of "radio silence" before the release date.

Well, I figured I might as well post this in good holiday spirit. Doesn't mean there'll be a holiday release for it though. Probably some time next year.
