Wow, I'm so excited for the ressurection of this project! I hope that this time it could be finished!

MoriyaMug

So I've been tinkering around with the SSRPG debug in the course of testing, and found that it makes it quite simple to assemble maps. In case anyone is interested...

There's also these, of the final two rooms in the game.

Nice!

Is the debug mode something that can unlocked with button codes or through emulator cheats?

No, it requires direct modification of the ISO.

Ah.

Any chance you could make a patch to enable it for people that would like to use it?

Magma MK-II

You could post those maps on TSR or another public site.

I will eventually, but not before the patch is released.

I only know TSR as the original publisher of Dungeons & Dragons. What are you referring to?

A few more.

No, of course. I didn't mean before.

If you're going to contribute the maps somewhere then make it to the biggest video gaming map website on the internet: VGMaps.com

Hi, I am the one who runs VGMaps.com: The Video Game Atlas.

Screenshot maps are the whole point of my site, and I always enjoy having maps for less commonly-known things - such as this RPG for the Neo Geo!  (Probably the only one of those...?)

So if you're looking for a public place for these to be shared, I'd be happy to put these maps up on my site.

I'd just need to know what name and email/link you would like me to credit them to, and if it's okay with you, I could just take them from here if that's easier than you emailing me.

Consider it, thanks!

Wow them maps look amazing! Can't wait for this release!!!!

I don't think MoriyaMug is interested in contributing the maps himself, but if someone were to do it for him, it doesn't seem like he would mind.

JonLeung already asked if he can host the maps on his site, and I suppose anyone could submit them to TSR too since I think you can credit contributions there.

It is definitely the only RPG on the Neo*Geo. I will submit the maps when they're done. I'm also documenting what's in each chest and which doors lead to which other maps, etc. Right now they're just bare and not annotated at all.

If you're up to it, VGMaps takes both kinds of maps: annotated and non-annotated. So if you can, keep the clean versions too because sometimes you just want to enjoy the art of the map.

Actually, TSR has a rule forbidding posting rips you haven't done yourself.

That's weird, because I've seen there stuff I've done that I know I didn't submit and whoever posted it gave me credit. Must be a "new-ish" rule then.

Yes, it was instated recently because some people kept stealing sheets from DeviantArt and similar places and submitting there.

Awesome, thank you so much!  I look forward to seeing them all.

For RPGs in particular, maps of them are definitely great when they're annotated.  Though, as reyvgm said, there is value in unmarked maps as well, and I will be happy to host those too.   :)

Through this post i found out that you're the guy responsible for VG maps. Thank you very much. Love to see maps. Hope to see samurai shodown RPG as soon as this amazing project is finished.
