Fastrom Hacks

Correct indeed. Well, sort of...as I mentioned all three Parodius Japanese releases (which I did not know about two of them being fastroms already, nor the already available SA-1 version for Parodius Da!, sorry for this Kandowontu) and Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy European rom (only western release available of a Super Famicom Parodius Episode, so the only one to get an official release in English by Konami as well).

As Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy is the European release of Parodius Da! and since this one got an SA-1 treatment, I do have to assume that Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy is equally Lorom, as its Japanese counterpart is...so I remain in favour of a Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy fastrom version, possibly compatible with NTSC patches even...now this would be so great! 

Looks like a good candidate! Consider it done.

I thought it was just FastROM.

And that FastROM version doesn't even work on real hardware or FPGA. It only runs on software emulators.

Again, where did you get any info that it was SA-1?

No one said the first Parodius was SA-1. He said there was a FastROM hack for it.

Did you check the link? I can only find a FastROM version there, no SA-1.

Parodius 3 is SA-1.

Please, do Final Fight 3 and Magical Quest. The later one already has a patch but they added a horrible splash screen before the game starts.

There is a version of Magical Quest fastrom with the splash screen removed. Check the Internet Archive link at the bottom of kandowontu's Google doc.

You are doing a fantastic job, and i'm enjoying a lot of these games again. Have you considered patching Demon Crest?, it has a lot of slowdown and if i remember correctly it's not in fastrom yet.

Unfortunately, that one does not work on real hardware or FPGA.

That's why it would be nice to get a proper FastROM hack of the (J) version of the first Parodius.

Until then, let's enoy the great work on the European version!

Can you do FastRom for Seiken Densetsu 3 and Secret of Mana?

While it was pointed out that SD3 is already fastrom, it looks like Secret of Mana is slowrom. I'm not sure if this request fell through the cracks or not as there have been a lot of requests recently (as well as a lot of confusion about what's possible).

It should be the No-Intro rom with no header.

I'd love to, but RPG's have a TON of data to uncover. Lets hope TAS runs can be captured soon, then that makes it possible.
