Which title would you say (so far) gets the most noticeable FastROM upgrade? I wanted to try Rock N Roll Racing but your patch doesn't work with the Mini (graphics issues). I never noticed any slowdown on this during races anyway but noticed you mentioned it resolved that.

Cool. Canoe is a bit odd but its very well documented now thanks to Sluffy and everyone. Even stuff like SA-1 hacks (Gradius III, Plumber For All Seasons for example) work which was a surprise.

Well, yes and no. While they boot and are playable, if you try to save state or rewind you end up with glitchy graphics. This is a dealbreaker for me as I'm not interested in having to beat them in one sitting. Super R-Type's the only SA-1 hack I've found that doesn't have this issue on Canoe.

I have been testing your conversions, must praise your efforts for packing something like that, even if most hacks aren't really "game saviors" like the "FastROM" would make most people think. I would recommend the Final Fantasy 5, Joe & Mac (1), and The Great Battle V ones to anyone.

There is also some heads up for you: the Prince of Persia 2 IPS was not properly created, it is taking too much game data for no reason. I took another one after trying xdelta, thinking you moved some banks around, but it is only a 53 bytes IPS after all.

Thanks for sharing that, I wondered what difference it would make but can't test many of OPs edits on SNES Mini so can't say. The other ones I did use didn't really make a huge difference (Parodius). Am interested in checking RnRR though. Can't spot any slowdown in the one I've already got 

Can anyone share a title which has a noticeable upgrade in performance with these FastROM hacks please?

It turns out SA-1 games can work with fastrom and work on console, MiSTer and emulators! I've released 2 so far, jikkou parodius and Super Mario RPG.

Actually Gokujyo Parodius is already fastrom, its Jikkou Parodius that's SA-1, and thats done now!

Just wanted to let you know that I tried playing through Cybernator's FastROM hack, using the Assault Suits Valken English Translation. It worked just fine and made the experience better, but it reset back to the title screen once I destroyed one of the fuel tanks on the 4th boss (the rocket). This happened no matter how I loaded a save state and tried different actions.

I was using the SNES9x - Current core in Retroarch. I tested it in Retroarch on my Windows PC and my Android-based Retroid Pocket 3.

I am, yes. His hack mostly runs in slowrom banks.
