While studying the asm of Secret of Evermore, I figured that it uses some kind of dictionary of words and that each byte or group of byes resembles a part or whole of a word.

I was wondering since the game is similar to Secret of Mana, does that game have utilities to extract the dialog, or various tutorials to?

They are visibly similar but it's my understanding that the actual code is totally different.

They had to remake everything about the engine from scratch because they couldn't get the code, I believe?
